Flora Incognita App
Plant identification made easy! Flora Incognita is an app that uses artificial intelligence to help identify plants. It was developed in a cooperation between the Technical University of Ilmenau and the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry.
The app is available free of charge for Android and Apple devices. By photographing leaves and flowers, one can not only determine the species at hand, but also help the AI to achieve better results in the future.

©WWF - Submaris
WWF's ghost net app
In its ghost net project, the WWF is developing environmentally compatible methods for searching and recovering abandoned fishing nets. The plastic nets become deadly traps for fish, seals, porpoises and diving birds and pollute the entire ecosystem as microplastics. Former MaxCine employee Gabriele Dederer works on the possibilities of finding and recovering ghost nets. Can we make a contribution with the "WWF Ghost Diver" app?
